The 9th Annual Quepos Billfish Cup is the first leg of the Marina Pez Vela Championship Series. A two-day fishing tournament scheduled to pair with other Costa Rican tournaments.
2 New Divisions
- “GUN” Division: Anglers must catch and release their own billfish. IGFA rules apply.
- “FUN” Division: Crew may help hook fish and pass the rod to an angler. Boats of any size may participate in our “Fun” Division

Offshore World Championship Qualifying Event
Winners of each tournament are automatically qualified for the Offshore World Championship, which crowns the world’s top team in offshore fishing each year.

Entry Fee “Gun” Division – Follow IGFA Rules
The Team registration fee is $3,500.00 with the Team consisting of 1 to 6 anglers. This basic registration fee covers the participation of the registered anglers. It also covers attendance at all planned entertainment and social activities. The angler fee does not cover any daily boat charter expense. Charter boats are available for hire through the tournament office. Daily optional jackpots:
- General Entry (Mandatory) $3,500.00
- Billfish Release Jackpot $2,500 (optional) $2,500.00
- Billfish Release Jackpot $1K (optional) $1,000.00
- Tuna Jackpot (optional) $500.00
- Dorado Jackpot (optional) $500.00

The Team registration fee is $1500.00 with the Team consisting of 1 to 6 anglers. This basic registration fee covers the participation of the registered anglers.
